Stefan was born in 1941 in Koropets, Ukraine. He graduated from the National Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts in Lviv (1973) and taught at the Institute from 1973 to 1978. Stefan moved to Edmonton in 1990. He is a painter, muralist, graphic artist, iconographer and interior designer. He works in oils, acrilics, tempera and pastels. Stefan has had 13 solo exhibitions, and has participated in numerous group shows. His art can be found in collections in Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Russia, Germany, New Zeland, the United States and Canada. Stefan is a member of the Ukrainian Association of Visual Artists of Canada.
